Titra uses state-of-the-art digital equipment to insure the best possible quality for Video Subtitling, Editing, Encoding, Authoring and Design. 

Our Proprietary video subtitling system is cost-effective, and superimposes titles over your digital master in real time. Also allowing us to output Substream Subtitle files for any DVD authoring system.

Digital Encoding is possible in CBR & VBR MPEG 2 formats using hardware encoding systems.  Each project is calculated individually to utilize all DVD disc space for your project, insuring the best possible quality. 

Titra’s DVD programmers can build custom navigation systems using still or motion menus, utiliⴭing all of the DVD format’s powerful programming features.   

•Titra Digital Studios can take your programs to high quality DVDs. Working with you from provided materials: DVD design, disc budgeting, encoding, authoring, package design and disc replication can take place all within our facilities. DVD-5, DVD-9, DVD-10 & DVD 18 discs can be produced in 4:3 and/or 16:9 aspect ratios in NTSC or PAL format. Each service can also be had a la carte. It is our aim to walk first time and experienced DVD producers through the process in a timely and orderly fashion. Each step in the process is subject to client approval and input. Our full service facility can save you time as well as costs.

•Encoding is the process of transcoding videotape masters into the MPEG format used by DVDs. Constant Bit Rate (CBR) and Variable Bit Rate (VBR) encoding are hardware based from a variety of digital videotape formats. Our encoding hardware can accommodate both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios in NTSC and PAL formats. 3:2 pulldown can also be removed to save disc space and eliminate pulldown artifacts. Audio is encoded as Dolby AC-3 stereo or 5.1 surround sound DVD compliant files.

•DVD authoring programs your final DVD to go where you want it to go when you want it to go there. Multiple angles, soundtracks. and subtitle languages can be programmed to enhance the viewing experience. DVD-ROM discs can access our clients websights as an interactive component and/or additional sales opportunities. Full check discs will be provided for client approval before replication begins.   

•We have been know since our inception for subtitling services. Translations from your program’s audio is done to a variety of languages by native speakers. Your master will be spotted to place the translated text to the exact place where the dialog or narration dictates. Subtitled check videos or DVD-Rs can be provided for approval of the translation and spotting services. After final approval, your subtitles can be output as DVD substeam files for intregration into a DVD. We can generate files for not only our authoring systems, but for just about any system currently in use. If you are already a Laser subtitling client, your files can be quickly and easily converted to DVD compliant formats.

•Titra Digital Studios provides full DVD graphic services. DVD Menu design can mirror the program production design with full motion or still menus. DVD disc art and packing can also be designed and executed by Titra’s design staff. By doing all the art at Titra makes for a more cohesive art design of your DVD. Again, a series of approvals can be implemented to keep our clients in the loop during production.

•Using Titra’s proprietary subtitling systems, we can create subtitled masters for your foreign, domestic, PPV and/or VOD outlets. New digital masters are cloned with the addition of subtitle text from your masters and our equipment.  These services are available in NTSC or PAL in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratios. Standard definition and high definition subtitling services are available. Aspect ratio conversions such as 16:9 widescreen to 4:3 letterboxed or from 4:3 to 16:9 in both NTSC and PAL are done on a daily basis at Titra.  Standards conversions from PAL to NTSC or NTSC to PAL can also be done at Titra.

•Full resolution, non-linear editing provides our clients with no quality lose. We have done simple projects like title changes to full re-edits for MPAA ratings. Most of our motion menus go through some editing to enhance the menus. In conjunction with our non-linear editing, Titra also has full compositing programs to create the best possible final product.
